Okay, does anyone know how you should lighten up a factory flywheel, and by how much, also do any of you know any performance tricks for this older teg, or have parts?
Thanks

Ahh the G1. That was my baby 5 years ago. Here's a list of what I did:
50hp shot NOS
MSD ign
DC header
test pipe,HKS exhaust
88 civic Iceman intake
Addco swaybars
Lightspeed front stress bar
lightspeed springs and torsion bars
Koni adjustables in front
tokiko blues in back
I burnt a valve on it and left it at my moms place when I left for college. she sold it to her coworker for a measly $500 with almost all the parts. =(

Yeah, I using one for parts to build a low buck CRX for some local rip it up and autocross situations. I think because of the sub 2000 weight that a lightened flywheel would be good. I just need to know where to get one done, and how to do it safely.

Look on the back side of the flywheel - the side that faces the block when it's bolted in place. On the outside perimeter there is a thick ring, and you'll see that it's been drilled here and there for balancing. You can machine that ring all the way down to the level of the rough cast surface (about 1/2"?). I've done this on 2 of my cars and it's worth about 5-6 lbs.

I got some questions for you anyway, about the cartech.
What's your E-mail or # I lost it again.
I found some pretty neat things on the internet from searching. I'm going to be looking for performance parts too.
My E-mail is [email protected]
P.S. Yeah, like I ain't spent enough on my other 2 cars, shoot my teg isn't even done yet. It's like a drug I tell ya!

Excellent, I'm getting some abswers,
I've seen in an old Grassroots MotorSports Magazine where they shave about 8 lbs off of it by stepping it out: thicker in the center, half as thick in the middle, or clutch face area, and ring gear thickness on the edges, is that safe? I'd assume it was or else they wouldn't have done it, but I need to know someone that can do it right.
